I was in my first year teaching fourth grade at an elementary school in Northeast Iowa when I made the decision to continue my education. I had several co-workers who wanted to integrate technology and came to me because I was part of the younger generation. I did not feel confident in my ability to be the leader my co-workers were asking me to be. I received an email from my principal about Iowa State's Master of Education program and decided at that moment I needed to take the opportunity. Since completing the Master's Program through Iowa State, I feel that I have gained confidence and can be the leader that I felt I was needed to be. I have gained a strong cohort of fellow professionals who I can reach out to when I need support. I have also gained the support of professors throughout my program who I know I can reach out to when I have questions. This program has given my the tools I need to further my journey in changing the world.
